The Double Diamond is a design framework that is often used in the field of User Experience (UX) design. It was developed by the Design Council, a UK organization, and it represents a process for tackling design problems and finding innovative solutions. This framework can help us to design new apps for the Apple Vision Pro. The Double Diamond is divided into four distinct phases:
1. Discover: The first phase of the double diamond process involves understanding and defining the different problems. This phase is about research, gathering information, and empathizing with the users. Designers aim to identify the key challenges, opportunities, and user needs. The goal is to expand the scope in a diverge way for understanding the problems before moving forward.
2. Define: After the discovery phase, designers move into the second phase by synthesizing the information gathered. This involves analyzing and interpreting the data to define the problem statement clearly. From the list of all the problems we found in the previous discovery we need to select just a few ones to converge in the problem definition. This phase helps in framing the design challenge and setting specific goals and objectives.
3. Develop: The third phase of the process involves generating a wide range of ideas and potential solutions. Designers explore various possibilities, brainstorm, sketches and prototype different UI concepts. This phase encourages creativity and divergent thinking to come up with innovative solutions to the defined problem.
4. Deliver: The final point represents the delivery phase, where the focus is on refining and implementing the best solutions. Designers create high-fidelity prototypes, conduct user testing, and make iterative improvements based on feedback. The goal is to finalize the design and deliver a product or solution that effectively addresses the identified problem.
